10009 Credit: 3 Term: Fall 2015 This course is a continuation of skills and concepts introduced in CTS 1831. The course covers web page development including HTML forms, frames and cascading style sheets, Javascript, and VBScript. Simplifying web site maintenance will be a focus. Transferring of information between client and server is covered, including forms, cookies and queries. If you do not have a computer that meets these requirements, LSSC computer labs in our campus Libraries and Learning Centers provide all of the necessary programs needed to complete the work for this course.

Course Objectives: (what the course will do)

This course requires a computer system, which meets the minimum specifications for BLACKBOARD access. Blackboard is an online class management system where you will access course related materials such as lectures, videos, quizzes, tests, etc. Please visit http://www.lssc.edu/dl to make certain your computer system meets the minimum requirements for BLACKBOARD. This course is designed to enable the student to develop familiarity with and confidence in the use of HTML 5 web coding, and to enable the student to use proper tag HTML 5 coding to solve problems. Good problem solving, Web Authoring design, and presentation techniques will be discussed and modeled.
