Einst errichtete König Wilhelm IV. sein italienisches Dörfchen in Bornstedt und schuf gleichermaßen etwas Besonderes für die preußische Krone. Kaiser Friedrich III. lebte bis zu seinem Tod mit seiner englischen Gemahlin Prinzessin Victoria von England im Krongut. Seit der Erschließung und aufwendigen Restaurierung des Gesamtensembles bietet sich für die Besucher eine Mischung aus Brandenburger Manufakturen mit Handwerkern der Region, Köstlichkeiten aus märkischen Töpfen und Pfannen und dem kulturhistorischen Hintergrund preußischer Geschichte, Gegenwart und Zukunft. Hausgebrautes Bier, wie es bereits 1689 im Krongut gebraut wurde, und Hochprozentiges aus der Brennerei laden in das Brau- und Brennhaus ein.
