Navigating the ALC Homepage

1. Announcements: this section is designated for special announcements from Autodesk 2. Certifications: this section lists those certifications which have either been assigned or selected. Certifications represent a series of courses or exams that are required to meet the requirements of a specific program. These may, for example, include industry, service, and advanced specializations. 3. Learning Paths: this section lists those learning paths which have been assigned or selected. Learning Paths represent a curricula specific to the needs of a particular audience. 4. Catalog Search: the section is provides a simple search tool that will help users find specific courses, certifications, or learning paths 5. In Progress: this section lists out those enrolled courses, exams, certifications, and learning paths that are in progress 6. Navigation Links: this section includes a quick link to view your completed learning history 7. User Navigation: this section includes the following: a. Calendar: personal training calendar to track registered classes b. Account: available for users to modify their account profile c. Help: links to this document d. Log Out: this will log users out of ALC

My Learning Where can I find my completed courses? There are two ways to view your history of completed courses within ALC: 1. Homepage: find the ‘Navigation Links’ section, and click ‘View Completed Learning’.

2. My Learning: click ‘My Learning’ in the left-hand menu, then click ‘Completed’.

Am I able to print a ‘Certificate of Completion’? Yes, you can print a ‘Certificate of Completion’ for those courses you successfully complete. From the ‘Completed’ screen, go to the ‘Completion Status’ column and click ‘Print Certificate of Completion’.  Important: ensure the ‘Completion date parameters‘ are set correctly.

Where can I find my courses that are currently in progress? There are two ways to view your courses in progress within ALC: 1. Homepage: find the ‘In Progress’ section, which lists out all courses you currently have in progress.

2. My Learning: click ‘My Learning’ in the left-hand menu and then click ‘In Progress’.

How do I change my language settings? 1. In the upper right-hand corner, click ‘Account’.

2. Click on the drop-down menu for ‘Your Preferred Language’.

3. As soon as you select a new preferred language, you will notice the content on the page will change to the new selected language. To continue with new language selection click ‘Save Changes’. 4. You will receive a ‘User Profile Updated’ email notification to confirm language settings have been updated. Below is a copy of the email you will receive. Please note, the email copy will be localized with your new preferred language.

How do I change my company information listed in my profile? If you find the company information listed in your profile is incorrect, please contact your Partner Center Administrator. Your administrator will then need to submit a case from within the ‘Business Services’ tab within Partner Center. If you are an EMEA or APAC IVAR partner, you will need to submit the request to your VAD, who will then submit a case directly to Autodesk. Can I change the type of content I see on the ALC homepage? Yes, within ALC you are able to add/remove content on your homepage. Below are instructions on how to do this: 1. From the homepage, click ‘Configure This Page’.  Important: your pop-up blocker must be disabled.

2. A pop-up window will open which will allow you to select the types of content you want displayed on the homepage. In the ‘Active’ column, select and unselect content types then click ‘Save’.

Learning Paths/Certifications What are the differences between Learning Paths and Certifications? This new version of ALC displays Learning Paths and Certifications a bit differently than previous versions of ALC. Each is defined as follows: 



Certifications represent a series of courses or exams that are required to meet the requirements of a specific program. These include industry, service, and advanced specializations. Learning Paths represent a curricula specific to the needs of a particular audience.

Where can I see my assigned Learning Paths? 1. Within ALC, there two ways to view your assigned Learning Paths: a. Homepage: go to the ‘Learning Path’ section, click ‘All Learning Paths’

b. My Learning: click ‘My Learning’ in the left-hand menu and click ‘Learning Paths’.

2. To search for a specific Learning Path assignment, enter the Learning Path name and click ‘Search’.  Helpful Tip: to search from a complete list of your assigned Learning Paths, leave the ‘Name’ field blank and click ‘Search’.

How do I add Learning Paths to my assignments? 1. Go to ‘Learning Paths’ (‘My Learning’ then ‘Learning Paths’). 2. Click ‘Add Learning Paths’.  Important: your pop-up blocker must be disabled.

4. Based on your search criteria, a list of available Learning Paths will display. Once you find the Learning Path you want to add to your assignments, click the blue square in the ‘Select’ column.

5. The selected Learning Path will automatically add to your list of assigned Learning Paths.

How can I complete my assigned Learning Paths? 1. There are two ways to complete your assigned Learning Paths. a. Homepage: go to the ‘Learning Path’ section and click the Learning Path you want to complete.

You will see an overview of the Learning Path and a list of courses you need to complete. To get started, click ‘Begin Registration’.

b. My Learning: click ‘My Learning’ from the left-hand menu, then click ‘Learning Paths’. You should see a list of your assigned learning paths.

Autodesk Learning Central | Getting Started | Rev 3.0 Find the Learning Path you would like to complete, click ‘Actions’. A menu will appear with a variety of options. To get started, click ‘Begin Registration’.

2. Both ways will take you to this step. You will see a registration list of those courses required for the selected Learning Path. Most courses are available in multiple languages, so to select the right course click on ‘Select Offering’.  Important: pop-up blocker must be disabled.

3. A pop-up window will appear with presenting a list of all the languages this course is available. To do a quick search, click on ‘Language’ and select the language you are looking for, and click ‘Search’.

5. The pop-up window will close, and the course will now display as follows:

6. You may continue to register for all of the courses by following the same steps outlined above (steps 2-4). Once you have completed registrations, click ‘Complete Registration’. 7. You will be taken to a ‘Registration Confirmation’ page that outlines status of each of the courses within the Learning Path. Click ‘Go to In-Progress Learning’.

8. You will now see all of the courses you registered for listed ‘In Progress’. From this screen you can launch the course.  Important: the course will launch in a pop-up window, so ensure your pop-up blocker is disabled. 9. Once the course is completed, it is important that you close the session window.  Important: if the pop-up session window is not closed, you will experience issues when attempting to launch additional courses. 10. Once you have completed and passed a course, two things will happen. a. The course will appear in your ‘Completed’ window.

Autodesk Learning Central | Getting Started | Rev 3.0 b. Within the Learning Path overview, you will see a check mark indicating the course that is completed. You will also note that the ‘Percentage Completed’ will indicate progress.

Where can I see my assigned Certifications? Within ALC, there two ways to see a list of your Certifications: a. Homepage: go to the ‘Certifications’ section and click ‘All Certifications’.

b. My Learning: click ‘My Learning’ in the left-hand menu and select ‘Certifications’.

To search for a specific Certification already in your assignments, enter the Certification name and click ‘Search’.  Helpful Tip: to search from a complete list of your assigned Certifications, leave the ‘Name’ field blank and click ‘Search’. 14 | P a g e

How do I add a Certification to my assignments? 1. Go to ‘Certifications’ (click ‘My Learning’ then ‘Certifications’). 2. Click ‘Add Certification’  Important: pop-up blocker must be disabled.

3. A pop-up window will open. To search for a specific Certification, enter the Certification name and click ‘Search’.  Helpful Tip: to search from a complete list of Certifications, leave the ‘Name’ field blank, and click ‘Search’.

5. The Certification will automatically add to your list of assigned Certifications.

Search Is there a fast and easy way to do a search of the entire ALC catalog?  Within ALC, there two ways to perform a catalog search: a. Homepage: go to the ‘Catalog Search’ section, click the drop-down box and select type of content you are looking for, enter a keyword, ID or description, then click ‘Search’. 20 | P a g e

b. My Learning: click ‘My Learning’ in the left-hand menu then click ‘Catalog’.  Helpful Tip: if you do not remember the full course name, you can use a wildcard (e.g. % Simulation).

What is ‘Advanced Search’? Advanced Search enables you to search for a course, Certification, or Learning Path using additional parameters, such as location, language, start date, end date, etc. 1. To perform an Advanced Search, click ‘My Learning’ then click ‘Search’. Within the ‘Search’ window click ‘Advanced Search’.

2. Based on what you are looking for, your advanced search parameters will change based on the type of content: Course, Certification, or Learning Path.

What are ‘Search Preferences’? Search Preferences enable you to set default search parameters based on your location, frequently used categories and language. 21 | P a g e

Autodesk Learning Central | Getting Started | Rev 3.0 1. To define your Search Preferences, click on ‘My Learning’, click on ‘Search’, then click on ‘Search Preference’.  Important: pop-up blocker must be disabled.

2. A pop-up window will open. Go through and select your default search preferences then click ‘Save’.

Calendar What is the calendar feature in ALC? The calendar feature in the upper right-hand navigation area is available for you to use as your personal training calendar in order to track your registered classes.

Technical Requirements Which web browsers does ALC support? ALC supports all common Internet browsers. 22 | P a g e

Which Operating Systems does ALC support? ALC supports all common Operating Systems.  Mac OS/X 10.5 or later  Windows XP Professional SP2 or later  Windows Vista SP1 or later  Windows 7  Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4 or later

Troubleshooting Tips ‘AICC HACP Entry Point Error’ This error message usually occurs when a main window in ALC was closed and the actual course window is still open. To correct, please log out of ALC, close all browser sessions, empty the browser cache and then start a new session and log back into ALC. Error occurred trying to reach the server This error will occur when the connection to the server is lost. You will need to ensure that you have a solid internet connection. Once reconnected, you will need to shut down the course and launch again. Note, you may be required to take the course again based on when you lost connectivity. Launched course and nothing happens This issue occurs if pop-up blocker is enabled. To correct, disable pop-up blocker in browser. Launched course and only see white screen This issue may occur based on corporate security policies and settings. To correct, add ‘autodesk.sabanow.net’ to your list of Trusted Sites. Internet Explorer 8 users: • In your browser, go to ‘Tools’ > ‘Internet Options’ > ‘Security’ > ‘Trusted Sites’ > ‘Sites’ • In the ‘Add this website to the zone:’ box, type in: autodesk.sabanow.net • Click ‘Add‘ Completed course not showing as complete This issue occurs when you close the course window before the system was able record the completion. To correct, simply go to ‘My Learning’ tab and then click on ‘In Progress’, and re-launch the course. This will establish a reconnection to your previous session and course status will be updated.

Built within the existing Autodesk CRM Support platform, you will be able to track your case and get real time status. What support can you expect from the ALC Support team? You can expect support on the following:  Access Issues  Answers to issues related to Certifications, Specializations, Learning Paths, Account information, and more  Investigation of defects and, if needed, escalating technical issues to development team How do I submit a support case in Partner Center? Steps to submit an ALC Support Case in Partner Center: 1) Login to Partner Center 2) Click 'Product Support' or 'Business Services' 3) Click 'Create New Case' 4) Select 'CRM Support' 5) Select Business Area 'Autodesk Learning Central' 6) Complete form (If you are a partner without a Partner Center account, then please use this Contact Form.)

What type of information should I provide? When opening a support case, please include as much information as possible (e.g. course name, course code, etc). If your inquiry is content related, please attach screenshots as this will assist in resolving your case in a timely matter. What should I expect after I submit my request? You can expect the following: 1) You will receive a Confirmation email, including your case number 2) You will see the Case Detail Page with information you entered 3) You can include additional information in the 'Add Comments' field 4) You can see all comments added to your case 5) You can attach files, screenshots, etc. Go to 'Attachments' to add 6) You can receive requests for additional clarification 7) You will receive a Case Closer email when issue is resolve Why is ALC Support moving from a support mailbox to the Autodesk CRM Support platform? In an effort to deliver a consistent Autodesk partner experience, ALC support has been added to the existing Autodesk CRM Support platform. This enables partners to go to a single place to submit system support issues, as well as track case status in a single view.
