SELF-SERVICE PASSWORD RESET PORTAL: A NEW STUDENT TOOL In its continuous efforts to provide the highest quality student experience, Bryant & Stratton College is giving students access to a new tool which will cut down on the time it takes to reset your password. Once you begin using the self-service Password Reset feature, you will no longer be required to contact the help desk and ask them to reset your password. By following these instructions, you will be able to reset your password, saving yourself time and effort. You will also be able to change your password through this self-service portal. Should you wish to change your password at any time, simply follow the instructions below and you’ll be able to reset and change your password at any time.

RESETTING YOUR PASSWORD REGISTERING YOUR ACCOUNT In order to reset your password, you will need to enroll your account; this is a one-time process. To register, you will need to access the College’s portal. You can do this by going to this website: https://mybsc.bryantstratton.edu and clicking on Reset Password located beneath the orange login button.

You may also access the site directly by clicking here. Once you have accessed the password reset website, please do the following: 1. Enter your user name. Your user name is your BID number (the same one you use to log into myBSC). 2. Enter your password (the same one you use to log into myBSC). 3. Click Login

Once you have successfully logged into the service for the first time, you will be taken to a security set-up page. Before you can begin registering for the service, however, you will see a pop-up box that looks like this:

You will need to click on the button that say, Click Here to advance to the next step. Once you click on the button, you will be taken to the User Registration page. This page will require you select two security questions you would like to answer in the event you need to reset your password. You must complete all fields. Once you have answered the questions and provided the responses, click Enroll to move on to the next step.

If you have completed the registration process correctly, you will see the following message:

RESETTING YOUR PASSWORD Should you need to reset your password, follow the steps below: 1. Click on the link that says Click Here to Reset Password on the myBSC portal page.

2. Once you arrive at the Self-Service Password Management portal, you will click the link that says Reset Password.

3. You will now find yourself on a page asking you to enter your Domain User Name. This is your BID number, which you use to log into Blackboard Learn. Enter it in the field indicated below and hit Continue.

4. You will be taken to the Security Questions screen. Here, you will be asked to supply the correct answers to the two security questions you chose when you registered your account. Provide the answers and click Continue.

Please note you have a time limit of 5 minutes in which to complete this process before you are logged out of the system and will have to start again. 5. Once you enter the correct information, you will be taken to the Reset Password screen seen below:

Pay careful attention to the Domain Password Policy Requirements as you will need to create a new password that satisfies all the criteria outlined. a) b) c) d)

Make no changes to the “Selected Accounts” field. Enter your new password. Confirm your new password. Click “Reset Password.”

You will want to pay attention to the “Password Strength” field. It is recommended you have a password that is “Strong.”

CHANGING YOUR PASSWORD PLEASE NOTE: Using this tool will change the password associated with your email and myBSC accounts. In addition to resetting your password, you may also change your password through our new service. The process is similar to that of resetting your password, however, there are differences. Please review the instructions below for step-by-step guidance. 1. Log into myBSC (https://mybsc.bryantstratton.edu) and click on the Click here to Reset Password.

2. Once you have reached the Self-Service Password Management page, you will need to enter your user name and password. These should be the same ones you use when logging into Blackboard Learn. After you enter the required information, click Login.

3. Once you are logged into the portal, you will be taken to the Change Password tool. Pay careful attention to the Domain Password Policy Requirements as you will need to create a new password that satisfies all the criteria outlined. a) Make no changes to the “Selected Accounts” field. b) Enter your old password. c) Enter your new password. d) Confirm your new password. e) Click Ok.

It is recommended you have a Password Strength of “Strong.”
