All Klauke crimping tools can be checked for delivery of the correct crimping force using the compact hand held force and pressure meter TC1-U and the appropriate load cell. This gives immediate feedback that the crimping tool is functioning within calibration levels. For a more in depth report, the PGA1 lead together with PGAWIN software allows certificates to be printed for historical crimping operations, along with information on the number of crimps completed since the tool was manufactured and the last service date.

High capacity; suitable for operating single acting crimping and cutting tools up to 700bar (10,000psi) pressure. Features a selector switch for crimping, cutting and punching operations. Hard wearing shock proof housing made of fibreglass reinforced polyamide. Large LED display monitors battery status, pressure reading and counts the number of operations. Supplied with two high-capacity 3Ah, 18V Li-Ion batteries. Automatic retraction, manual retraction where required, 2-stage pump with rapid advance switches to high pressure under load. CV5 Heavy Duty Hydraulic Pump CV5 portable high pressure hydraulic drive pump has a 2 stage hydraulic pump which ensures an extremely fast crimping cycle. Driven by a 12V DC motor the pump comes complete with leads and crocodile clips to connect to vehicle battery. Crimp tool is advanced/retracted by a push button control unit. The motor automatically cuts out when pressure reaches 10,000psi (700bar).

Remote Cutter Kit

Developed for specialist cutting requirements in the vicinity of live power lines in the electrical utility and railway industries, this lightweight portable kit combines the Klauke APH 700-L battery powered portable hydraulic pump featured on page B11, high pressure live line hoses and 3 special cutting heads that allow the operator to remotely cut conductor and tree limbs. When using slot together operating rods or telescopic fuse rods the equipment is light enough to be used at 25-30 feet. Adapters are available for fitting on to standard slot together rods or telescopic operating rods and when combined with the 90° universal adapter (see page A17) cuts can be made at any angle in both vertical and horizontal planes, enabling work to be carried out in difficult to reach places. Can be ordered as individual items or complete kits.

Cable End Stripping Tool Unique cable end stripping tool with non-conductive nylon body strips insulation and gives a perfect square cut without damaging the cable. Individual bushings are available for each cable/ conductor size and type with blade depth set to suit the application. The non-conductive body is available with a 34mm end stop for standard ABC cable lugs or without end stop to allow insulation to be stripped to any desired length. Interchangeable bushings are simply fitted to each end of the nylon body with an allen screw. Bushings are currently available for 35, 50, 95 & 120mm² ABC, 50 & 120mm² BLX, and 50mm² BLL conductors, others available upon request.

Bushings are stamped with conductor size and type.
