Idaho University of Idaho Ernest W. Harung Scholarship: GPA requirement: 2.50 minimum. Description: Must be active in debate, music, journalism, leadership, theater arts, student government, or communications. Stephen Belko & Katherine C. Scholarship: Description: Students must be a fulltime undergraduate enrolled in any degree granting program at U of I. Primary consideration will be given to academic achievement, and the second consideration will be financial need. Character, integrity, leadership ability, good communication skills also considered. Mary Lilian Henry Scholarship: Description: Must show character and leadership. Whitman, Martha Jane Jamison Scholarship: Description: Must be a female student active in student government (ASUI). James Amos Barnes Memorial: GPA requirement: 3.00 minimum Description: Must show leaderships skills. Preference to Idaho residents and entering freshmen. Elmer H. Potter Memorial: Description: Open to graduates from high schools in the Meridian School District area. Financial need and activities are a consideration. ASUI Presidents scholarship: GPA requirement: minimum GPA 2.50. Description: Must have leadership qualities, academic achievement, and community service. Betsy Thomas Gender Equity Scholarship. GPA requirement: 2.50 minimum Description: Eligible recipients include students who are working/volunteering to advance gender equity and women

Lewis-Clark State College The Fisher-Clark Memorial Endowed Scholarship: GPA requirement: cumulative GPA consistent with the minimum required for admission and for progress toward selected major. Description: Students must be female and have financial need as determined by the financial Aid Office. High School Leadership Scholarship: GPA requirement: 2.50 minimum Description: Applicants must be incoming freshmen who will be full-time students (12 credits or more). Must be an Idaho resident having graduated from an Idaho high school. Applicant must also have led a leadership position during their junior or senior year of high school in an officially sanctioned club or team. Foundation Scholars Scholarship: GPA requirement: 3.50 minimum Description: Students must be classified as full-time (enrolled in 12 or more credits per semester).Show exceptional academic achievement, community involvement and leadership ability. The scholarship is $3,000 and is renewable for a total of four years.

Idaho State University Jon & Karen Huntsman Family Scholarship: GPA requirement: 3.00 minimum Description: Must be incoming freshmen. Applicants must demonstrate financial need; leaders, talent, and/or academic ability and be a resident of Southeast Idaho. The amount awarded is $5,000. MarDeane Carver Jordan Merit Scholar: GPA requirement: 2.00 minimum Description: Must be a Native American. Academic success, demonstration of exceptional leadership in his/her community, academic program, or profession required. Award is $865.00. Boise Centennial Rotary Scholarship: GPA requirement: 3.00 minimum Description: Awarded to undergraduate students enrolled full time. Preference is given to new freshman graduating from Ada Country area high schools. School activities, community service and work related experiences may also be considered. Award is $500.00.

Boise State University Taco Bell Leadership Scholarship: GPA requirement: 3.00 minimum Description: Must have held a leadership position and participated in a minimum of one extracurricular activity sponsored by a school or civic group. Barbara L. Wilson Scholarship: GPA requirement: 3.50 minimum Description: Be a freshman entering into the fall semester. Be an Idaho resident and be involved in achievement in extracurricular activities.

College of Idaho Lienhart-Minnick Scholarship: Description: Must be academically gifted high school seniors from the state of Idaho. Scholarship recipients must have demonstrated a proven record of superior academic performance in high school, and outstanding record of school or other pre-college leadership and potential on at the College of Idaho. The ACT and SAT scores are looked at and the applicant must be in the top 5 percent of their graduating class.

Treasure Valley Community College American Association of University Women Scholarship: Description: Graduate from a local Oregon or Idaho high school. Must have sufficient academic achievement defined by the TVCC scholarship committee. Must be a female freshman or sophomore at TVCC and demonstrate good character and community service. American Association of Women in Community Colleges Scholarship: Description: Female student who is attending or returning to college. Must have sufficient academic achievement and demonstrate good character and community service. American Business Women

GPA requirement: 3.00 minimum Description: Must be a female with a high work ethic, community service, and dedication to future goals. Lowell & Rosemary Cox Scholarship: GPA Requirement: 2.0 minimum Description: Based on academic potential, community service, and financial need

Washington

University of Washington Mary Gates Leadership Scholarships: Description: Applicants must be actively engaged in their leadership activity and continue to pursue it while they have the scholarship. Applicants must also have a mentor and remain a full-time undergraduate student. The award is given during two quarters totaling $4,000.

Washington State WSU Alumni Association (WSUAA) Leadership Awards: GPA requirement: 3.30 minimum Description: Alumi Association Leadership Awards ($5,000 per award): Distinguished themselves through outstanding leadership qualities and academic excellence. Phillip and June Lighty Leadership Award: Description: Provides full out-of-state tuition for an incoming freshman who has distinguished themselves through outstanding leadership qualities and academic excellence.

Oregon

Oregon State Provost Scholarship: GPA requirement: minimum 3.75 or a minimum score of 1800 on the SAT or 26 on the ACT. Description: ($7,000 per year up to four years): Set for future Oregon State leaders.

University of Oregon Diversity Excellence Scholarship: Description: Recognizes academic achievement and potential of incoming students. Selection for this scholarship is based off of past academic performance, participation in campus or community activities, racial/ethnic background, financial need, first generation of family to attend college, residency. Award winner receives $6,500.

Aileen Lee Scholarship: Description: Awarded to students who have demonstrated a commitment to excellence throughout their high school career in leadership, service and academic excellence. The award ranges $250-$500.

Utah Utah State Aggie Involvement Scholarship Application: Description: Awarded to students who have shown qualities of leadership and made contributions to their community. Several scholarships will be awarded. University Ambassador Scholarship: GPA requirement: 3.00 minimum Description: Ambassadors must be well rounded individuals who demonstrate ability inside and outside of the classroom and reflect the quality of students admitted to Utah State. While on scholarship the ambassador must attend recruitment events and show leadership skills. Award is given for up to eight semesters.

University of Utah Alumni Association/UNP Scholarship: Looks at community service done, financial need-based, and first generation. Must be a full time student and will be attending the University of Utah that year. Leadership in Action Scholarship: GPA requirement: minimum 2.50 Description: Provides emerging leaders with the opportunity to live on campus and have their room and board expenses covered. Applicants must demonstrate leadership potential through previous engagement in community service, high school, or university campus. During the year the student must be active in a leadership role on campus. Wolf Meritus Scholarship: There are four scholarships given up to $3,000 each. This scholarship is based on community service and being a first generation student.

Weber State Emerging leader scholarship: GPA requirement: 2.5 minimum Based on leadership experiences and community involvement and be or become active in WSU student government/activities.

Northern California

Sacramento State Freshman Scholarship: This scholarship is determined by academic success, leadership and participation and service in school and the community as well as hardships and/or obstacles, financial or otherwise. The amount of the scholarship is $2,000.

San Francisco State Angela Bukle/Associated Students Memorial Scholarship: GPA requirement: 2.5 minimum Description: Applicant must have academic achievement and a letter of recommendation. They also must demonstrate an exceptional level of involvement in student organizations and/or service group off-campus empowering youth. The award is $1,000.

San Jose State CSU Trustees Description: Awarded to students who demonstrate financial need as well as having superior academic experience, personal hardships, exemplary community service and personal achievements.

California State University Chico Chico Scholarships: GPA requirement: 2.00 minimum Description: Financial need, scholastic excellence, outstanding achievement in school or community service, active affiliation with honors organizations, and any other special qualifications.

Outside Scholarships Idaho Governor GPA requirement: 2.80 minimum Description: Enroll as a full-time student at an Idaho college or university and take the ACT or SAT. High consideration will be based on a demonstrated commitment to public service. BG Scholarship: GPA requirement: 2.00 minimum Description: Award is given to those who show contributions to their school and/or community and have academic goals. The award is $400 given out once a month. Executive Women International: Description: available to high school juniors, and is based on academic achievement, leadership experience, and work experience. Award ranges from $100-10,000.
