Create a New Account a. Open Outlook 2010. b. Click File i. Select Info. ii. Within Account Information, click Add Account. c. Within the Setup wizard select ‘Manually configure server settings or additional server types’. d. Click Next. e. Select Internet E-mail. f. Click Next. g. Fill out the following: i. Your Name: the display name for your email. This is how others will see your name when they receive mail from you. ii. E-mail Address: your email address. h. Under Server Information i. Select Account type as POP3 ii. Incoming mail server (enter the information specific to your email account) 1. Arvig: pop3.arvig.net 2. Redred: pop.redred.com 3. Hmtel: pop3.hmtel.com 4. Feltontel: pop3.feltontel.net 5. Meltel: mail.meltel.net 6. Mainstreetcom: mail.mainstreetcom.com 7. Loretel: pop3.loretel.net 8. Arrowheadtel: pop3.arrowheadtel.net 9. Eaglevalleytel: pop3.eaglevalleytel.net iii. Outgoing mail server (enter the information specific to your email account) 1. Arvig: smtp.arvig.net 2. Redred: smtp.redred.com 3. Hmtel: smtp.hmtel.com 4. Feltontel: smtp.feltontel.net 5. Meltel: mail.meltel.net 6. Mainstreetcom: mail.mainstreetcom.com 7. Loretel: smtp.loretel.net 8. Arrowheadtel: smtp.arrowheadtel.net 9. Eaglevalleytel: smtp.eaglevalleytel.net i. Logon Information i. User Name: enter your full email address. ii. Password: Email account password. j. Leave “Require logon using Secure Password Authentication (SPA) unchecked. k. Specify server ports - click More Settings. i. Click on the Outgoing Server tab 1. Check “My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication. ii. Click on the Advanced tab. 1. By default the incoming port is 110 and outgoing is 25. 2. Set the Outgoing server port to 587. 3. Check the box “Leave a copy of messages on the server”. a. This will leave a copy of your messages on the email server, allowing your other devices to receive the same messages or allowing you to see the same mail from webmail. l. Click Next. m. Click Finish.

Editing Account Setting a. Open Outlook 2010 b. Click File. c. Select Info. i. Click Account Settings d. Select the email you would like to edit from the list within the Email tab. i. Click Change. 1. You can adjust email and server settings from here. 2. To change port or delivery options, click More Settings. e. Delivery Options i. After clicking More Settings, click on the ‘Advanced’ tab. 1. Check the box “Leave a copy of messages on the server”. a. This will leave a copy of your messages on the email server, allowing your other devices to receive the same messages or allowing you to see the same mail from webmail.

Leave “Require logon using Secure Password Authentication (SPA) unchecked. iv. Click More Settings. 1. Click on the Outgoing Server tab. a. Check “My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication”. 2. Click the Advanced Tab. a. Change the outgoing server from 25 to 587. b. Click OK. v. Click Finish to complete the setup wizard.

Arrowheadtel: smtp.arrowheadtel.net 9. Eaglevalleytel: smtp.eaglevalleytel.net vii. “Log on using Secure Password Authentication (SPA)” remains unchecked. viii. Click “More Settings” 1. Click on the Outgoing Server tab. a. Check “My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication. 2. Click on the Advanced tab. a. Change the outgoing server port from 25 to 587. b. Click OK. ix. Click Next. e. Click Finish. Your email account has been configured.

Editing Account Settings a. Open Outlook 2003 b. Click on Tools from the top menu. i. Select “Email Accounts” ii. Select “View or change existing e-mail accounts” iii. Click Next c. Select your email account from the list of available accounts. (it will be highlighted in blue). i. Click Change. d. Within the E-mail Accounts window you can edit User, Login, and Server Information. i. Clicking the ‘More Settings’ button enables users to edit server port numbers and delivery options. ii. Delivery Options 1. Click on the Advanced Tab a. Check “Leave a copy of messages on the server” if you wish to keep a copy on the server. This is useful when you have multiple computers and want to see the same emails on each.

Arrowheadtel: smtp.arrowheadtel.net ix. Eaglevalleytel: smtp.eaglevalleytel.net h. Click next. i. Account Name: Full email address j. Password: password for your email account. i. Check “Remember Password” to have Outlook save password information for future logins. ii. Leave “Log on using Secure Password Authentication (SPA)” unchecked. iii. Click Next k. Click Finish. l. From the Internet Accounts window, click Properties. i. Click on the Servers tab. 1. Check “My server requires authentication” (at the bottom of the window). ii. Click on the Advanced tab. 1. Change the outgoing mail port from 25 to 587. iii. Click OK. m. Close the Internet Accounts window to complete email setup.

Editing Account Settings a. Open Outlook Express b. Click on Tools from the top menu. i. Select Accounts. ii. Under the Mail Tab, click on the email account to edit so that it is highlighted in blue. 1. Click the Properties button on the right. c. Click on the Servers Tab. Server incoming and outgoing addresses can be changed here, along with the account email address and password. i. Leave “Log on using Secure Password Authentication” unchecked. d. Click on the Advanced Tab. i. From this tab, users can specify 1. Outgoing and Incoming mail ports. 587 and 110 respectively. a. Arvig mail servers do not use SSL. Leave “This server requires a secure connection (SSL)” unchecked. 2. Delivery Options – “Leave a copy of messages on server”. a. Specifies that the email program will leave a copy of all email messages on the server. This allows users to get the same messages on another computer, or view those messages from webmail.
