Logging in & Taking a Course The image to the right is an image of our Log in page. To access your training Log in to your account by visiting https://training.ipced.com/ and entering in your username and password.

The system requirements are shown at the bottom of the log in page. If you have green check’s next to each requirement, that means your computer is meeting the system requirements. If you see any red, that means you have to update or enable that particular requirement on your computer.

After Logging in to the campus, you’re taken to your individual Training Page. Your default tab will be your Training tab (circled in orange below), this is where you will be able to access and launch coursework.

To begin a course, click on the green launch button to the left of the selected course.

Note: Some courses include prerequisites to be completed prior to moving on to the next related course. These will be identified by a STOP sign icon in the “Completion” column, circled in orange above.

Finishing a Course The End of Lesson Quiz will appear at the end of the course. The quiz is multiple choice, and you must earn a score of 80% or higher in order to pass the quiz. You may take the quiz two times, however if you do not pass after the second attempt, you must retake the entire course.

When you finish the End of Lesson Quiz you will see the following “How Did You Do?” screen. It will give you your score and allow you to review your answers. Once you’ve reviewed your answers and are ready to exit the content, click the Finish button at the bottom of the screen. This will bring you to the end of lesson slide. To exit the content, click the Exit button located at the top right corner of the screen as shown below. Please Note! Always exit a course using the Exit button! Or else your work may not save properly, and you risk having to retake the course.

The Training Tab The Training tab is your home base as a student. From here you can review the courses you’ve completed, see the status of your courses: completed, in progress, incomplete, overdue etc. and print certificates of completion for your records.

When a course has been completed you can also click the printer icon to print your own certificates. After clicking the printer icon, a course certificate pop up window opens and you have the options to print, or email the certificate.

The Home Tab The Home tab is another great resource for you as a user. From here you can edit your profile information, change your password, select electives from the elective catalogue and much more! Click on “Change my Password to change the generic password provided to you by your site administrator. You will be directed to the screen below. Simply type in a new password to get that changed and click save when you’re done.

You can also change your profile information by clicking “View my Profile”. Once in the edit profile page click the blue “Edit Profile” button to make changes to your profile i.e. changing your name, address, email, phone number, etc. Once you’re done click the save button to save your changes.

The Home Tab The last and greatest feature of the Home tab is the Elective Catalogue. Sometimes your administrators will make elective courses available to you. To access these courses, go to the Home tab, and click on “Elective Catalogue” in the menu bar.

Clicking on the Elective Catalogue will take you into the elective catalogue screen. From here you will simply find the courses you want to enroll in and click the green “Enroll” button. Once you do this the training becomes available to you on your Training Page.

GUIDELINES FOR CREATING A LEARNING MANNUAL *Always use a white background. Cover Page: Background Image – Textured visual that relates to audience. Title – Place in a box with a transparency of 50%. Text is in a stacked formation and always Align Left. 1pt Lines can be used to create visual flow. Footer – Color: white, Size: 2-3 inches tall positioned on bottom of cover. Logo – Same width as text block. Positioned on bottom right corner of block.

Index Page: Title – To create an interesting visual make title Align Right. Image – Keep it simple with a line that is at 10pt. Position line next to Title. Content – Use the Classic design template in Microsoft’s Table of Contents and place it on the opposite side of the line.

Content Pages: Title – The title should be all caps. Font: Verdana, size:20, #ffa12d. Two lines on either side of title can be added if desired. Sub Titles – Same as content with a Bold text treatment. Content – The font should be Verdana, size: 11, black. Always Align Left! Between blocks of content make sure to add enough space to define the break. *If a paragraph can be treated with bullet points, do it. Screenshots – Keep the size as small as possible without losing readability. Always Align Left. Info Block – Fill color: #ea7125 Outline: none Tips & Notes – Fill color: #93c951 Outline: none Footer – Create a footer with page numbers on the left and Institute for Professional Care Education® on the right.

Back Cover: Background Image – Similar textured visual as cover page. Same white rectangle positioned on bottom. Contact Information - Positioned on bottom left of rectangle.
