ADP TimeSaver Instructions for Managers Polytechnic Institute of NYU has chosen ADP TimeSaver to manage all of its Payroll data collection and time tracking needs. ADP TimeSaver is a simple, flexible online application that be accessed through the Internet at anytime from anywhere. All Managers at Polytechnic Institute of NYU are required to check the accuracy of and approve the electronic timesheets of their direct reports in ADP TimeSaver every pay period. To access ADP TimeSaver in a Manager role, you will require a separate Username and Password for this role – this second Username and Password will be different than the one you will use to enter in your own time in TimeSaver and must be obtained from Payroll directly. Student’s Lunch Break

Half an hour will be automatically deducted from a student’s time card for every 5 hours worked during a single day for lunch – this is in compliance with federal laws.

Local 30

For a 7½ hour work day, a half an hour will be automatically deducted from a full-time hourly employee’s time card for lunch, as per the Union Contract.

Local 153

For an 8 hour work day, one hour will be automatically deducted from a fulltime hourly employee’s time card for lunch, as per the Union Contract. For a 7½ hour work day, a half an hour will be automatically deducted from a full-time hourly employee’s time card for lunch, but this must be setup with Payroll in advance.

Step #1: Login to ADP TimeSaver

1. To access ADP TimeSaver, please go to http://timesaver.poly.edu using Microsoft Internet Explorer – this easy to remember website should automatically forward you to ADP’s TimeSaver website located at https://ts1.adp.com/bn5s/TS/login.php. 2. Under User Type, select Manager. 3. Enter in your Username and Password, and then click Submit. Notes:

Your ADP TimeSaver Manager role Username and initial Password will be given to you by Payroll – both of these are case sensitive! Your Manager role Username and Password will be different that your Employee role Username and Password – be sure to keep track of which one is which so as to avoid locking yourself out of the system. When you log on to ADP TimeSaver for the first time, you will be forced to change your password. When changing your ADP TimeSaver password, please keep in mind: Your password must be between 8 and 20 characters, and must contain at least one letter and one number. Your password cannot be the same as your username, nor can it include three repeating characters.

Step #2: Using the Time Card Editor to Review Time Cards for Direct Reports Once you successfully log into ADP TimeSaver as a Manager role, you will see a screen similar to the following:

1. To begin reviewing the timecards for your direct reports, please Time Card Editor.

Once you successfully log into ADP TimeSaver, you will see a screen similar to the following:

2. Select the Pay Group in which your direct reports are in. 3. Click the Search button to pull up the time cards for those direct reports in that specific Pay Group.

All of your direct reports will be listed here.

4. Make sure that all of your direct reports are selected so that their time cards can be reviewed. 5. Click the Go to Time Card Editor in which your direct reports are in.

6. Select the Employee whose time card you wish to review – their time card will automatically be loaded on the screen. 7. If you approve of the employee’s time card, click the Sign Off button to sign off on their time card for processing by Payroll.

When you have decided to approve an employee’s time card and

click the Sign Off button, the

following confirmation screen will appear.

8. Please click the OK button to confirm that you wish to sign off on this time card.

Once you successfully signed off on an employee’s time card, you will be returned to the Time Card Editor screen. Please note the blue box confirming that this time card has been signed off on by you or another manager.

9. Select the next Employee whose time card you wish to review and continue on until all of the time cards have been reviewed. 10. Click the Home button to go back to the beginning on this step to start processing another set of employees in a different Pay Group or click Logout to end your ADP TimeSaver session.
