9th Annual A2MEND Conference Moving the Needle: From Injustice to Equity Community College Career Pathways Pre-Conference Workshop Schedule Wednesday, March 2, 2016 Attendees will have an opportunity to network with administrators, faculty, and staff from several community colleges and to gain valuable insight and advice to advance within the California Community College System

Career Pathways within CA Community Colleges A panel of Human Resources Administrators will provide context and advice for starting and establishing careers in community colleges. Topics to include: emerging career opportunities; the screening process within CA community colleges; effective interviewing, resumes, and job search processes. Location: Century C/D Room

11:00 - 12:15pm

Upward Mobility within CA Community Colleges A2MEND Board Members will share their advice and experiences with career advancement in community colleges. Topics to include: advice on how hard work, dedication, mentoring, networking, and professional organizations are necessary to advance toward upper management. Location: Century C/D Room

Presidents Roundtable Community College Presidents will share their wisdom, advice, experiences, and expertise as they probe into their career pathways, institutional cultures, and offer advice on what it takes to succeed. Location: Century C/D Room

Community College Job Fair and Networking Mixer Various community colleges will be on-sight to recruit for current faculty and administrative positions within their respective districts. Meet and network with people who can assist you in accomplishing your professional goals! Light hors d'oeuvres will be served. No host bar. Location: Malibu Garden
