FAQ/Troubleshooting Q: Why do I keep getting the message ‘The user name or password is incorrect”?

A: You are getting this error because the PPG ID and password you entered do not match what we have on record. Make sure that you are using your six digit PPG ID number and the password you used for HR Direct. You only have 5 tries to enter the correct PPG ID/password combination before the system will lock your account. Once your account is locked, you must contact the HR Shared Services Center by phone in order to unlock the account; your account will not unlock on it’s own after a certain period of time. The number for the HR Shared Services Center is 1.888.774.2121. If you do not remember your password, click ‘Forgot Password?’ to walk through the steps of creating a new one. If you continue to have issues, contact the HR Shared Services Center at [email protected] or 1.888.774.2121.

FAQ/Troubleshooting Q: Why am I getting an access denied message when I try to go to myPPGRewards.com?

OR

A: Be sure you are using the correct login method dependent on whether you have a PPG email address of not. If you have a PPG email address, you must login using the top login section. If you do not have a PPG email address or are a retiree, you must login using the bottom login section. If you are still having issues, you could be getting this message for several different reasons:

If you are an international employee: International employees do not have access to myPPGRewards.com at this time. If you need to get to the People Development Center, you can access that through PPG Today.

If you are a new hire: Your HR information is still being processed. Once it is finished processing, you will be able to access myPPGRewards using the directions in the New Hire section at the start of this guide. You can also contact your HR manager directly for an update.

If you are an active US employee who used to be a contractor: Your account has not been updated correctly to reflect your change in assignment. Click here to email the HR Shared Services Center. Provide a short description of the issue and include your PPG ID. They can correct your account and then you will be able to access myPPGRewards.

If you are an active US employee: The first step you should take is clearing your cookies— follow the directions here to clear your cookies and then try to access the site again. If the issue persists, there is an error with your employee record that must be corrected. Click here to email the HR Shared Services Center. Provide a short description of the issue you are having and include your PPG ID. They can correct your account information and then you will be able to access myPPGRewards.

If none of the solutions above work for you, please contact the HR Shared Services Center at [email protected] or 1.888.774.2121

FAQ/Troubleshooting Q: I do not have a PPG email address but when I try to reset my password I get the error below.

A: You are getting this error because the PPG ID you entered is being linked to a network account. If this is an error, please contact the HR Shared Services Center by clicking here or calling 1.888.774.2121. Provide a short explanation of the issue you are having and include your PPG ID. They can correct your account information and then you will be able to reset your password.

Q: I am logging in from a shared computer (at a store or a kiosk) and am getting an access denied message. How can I get access? A: Try the following steps to gain access: 

If you have a network ID, sign in to the computer using your network ID and password and try accessing myPPGRewards. Or, access Citrix from the computer and sign in using your network ID and password, then try to access myPPGRewards.
